We specialize in training dogs that are showing signs of aggression. Over the years, we have helped many pet owners deal with their aggressive dogs through highly-focused training. We design a customized training program for your dog that is built on the information that you provide us on our behavior modification form.
The majority of dogs that display aggression either haven’t undergone any obedience training or have limited training. Our job is to give you the skills and knowledge that you need to train your dog to obey your commands. One of the fastest ways to help your dog understand that you are the leader of the pack is through obedience training. Behavioral problems in dogs are much easier to deal with when they have a strong pack leader. We will show you how to become the leader that they need.
Consisting of four lessons, the Rehabilitation Program for Aggressive Dogs meets with you privately once every two weeks. During these meetings, we work with you on tasks like behavior modification and obedience training. Outside of these sessions, you will need to work independently with your dog for 15 minutes at a time at least once each day.
We will design a customized behavior modification plan that will teach your dog where it belongs within the structure of the pack. This can have a dramatic impact on their behavior, helping to resolve problems.
Throughout the program, we will work closely with you to ensure that you have all of the tools that you need. If you have any questions, you can contact us 7 days a week for assistance. Even after the lessons end, we continue to provide support. Whenever you have problems or questions, you can always turn to us for help 365 days a year for as long as you have the dog.
One common misconception that people have is that there is no hope for dogs that are already displaying aggression. That is false. Even though a small number of dogs can’t be rehabilitated, the vast majority of them can.
Ultimately, you are the number one factor that comes into play when determining whether or not your dog’s aggression can be brought under control. If you can establish yourself as the pack leader, your dog will naturally begin to respect you and to listen to your commands. To reach that point, it is essential that you train your dog for at least 15 minutes every day.
Dogs can display aggression in many different ways including the following:
– Aggression toward people
– Aggression toward other dogs
– Aggression around toys or food
– Aggression related to territorial issues
– Redirected aggression
– Aggressive responses that stem from fear
– And more…
